Two more Sacramento region jurisdictions have received the state of California's "pro-housing" designation, making them eligible for state funding for housing and infrastructure. Both Placer and Sacramento counties have received that designation, given to municipal governments that adopt policies and ordinances that make new housing easier to build. "Generally speaking, the designation is a reflection of the work we've been doing in the last few years," said Chris Pahule, who recently joined Placer County as its new planning director.
